1878 British antique sterling silver card case 92g Robert Thornton
SKU: 202411094835
We would like to introduce you to an antique British sterling silver card case.
This is a card case that would have been custom-made for an upper-class person at the time.
The surface decoration is so beautiful that no two pieces are alike.
This work was created by Robert Thornton , Birmingham, England in 1878.
Both sides are decorated with intricately carved plant motifs.
The center part has a cartouche on one side and is engraved with a monogram that is believed to be the initials of the first owner. The center part has a different design on the front and back.
It is large enough to fit your current business cards without any problems and can hold more than 15 business cards.
This type of card case is made from thick silver, giving it a heavy and strong feel.
There is little wear to the engraving and almost no noticeable scratches or dents, making it a beautiful item with little signs of use.
We hope that this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one!
