This is a square box made in Austria and is thought to date to the mid-19th century.
The inside is gold plated and it appears to be a snuff case.
The lid is engraved with a detailed relief depicting a hunting scene on horseback.

Although there is some wear and tear and small dents due to age, it has been well maintained and is in beautiful condition.
The inside is still gold plated.
