This is a work by Thomas Smiley of London, England, from 1872.
The body is made of horn (cow horn) with beautiful natural patterns, and is decorated with pure silver on the top and bottom.
The central cartouche is engraved with a monogram that is believed to be the initials of the first owner.
The bottom part is fitted with transparent glass, making it a unique design that allows you to see through it.
