This is a work by Daniel & Arter of Birmingham, England, from 1909.
The barrel sides and lid have no decoration and are mirror finished.
There are decorations on the lid knob and the edges of the base, giving the overall design an elegant feel.
It has a shape where the barrel part sits on a plate with legs.
