We are pleased to present you with a vintage British sterling silver anointing spoon.
The anointing spoon is one of the crown jewels used in the British coronation, and is used to scoop holy oil and apply it to the new King (Queen) during the coronation.
It was probably made to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VIII in 1936.
This is a fairly large anointing spoon with a total length of over 25cm.
This is a beautiful spoon with intricate carvings on the bowl and handle.
