We would like to introduce a pure silver mug from the British antique collection.
The cup is called a christening cup (baptismal cup).
It seems that these were given as birth gifts to children born into wealthy families, such as those of the nobility.
This is a pure silver mug from the British Georgian era, dating back to 1765.
The manufacturer's marking is unclear due to wear, but it is presumed to be WB (Walter Brind).
The entire piece features beautiful relief decorations with floral motifs, and the handle is also adorned with acanthus decorations.
Although it was made over 250 years ago, it is made of thick, heavy-gauge silver, the carvings are clear, and the gold plating on the inside is still intact.
I hope this "once-in-a-lifetime" encounter will become a special moment for you!
