We would like to introduce you to an antique British sterling silver card case.

This card case would have been custom-made for an upper-class person at the time.
The surface decoration is so beautiful that no two pieces are alike.

This work was created by Frederick Marson of Birmingham, England in 1875.
Frederick Marson was a workshop that specialized in small items such as card cases.
It is a double-opening type with nine accordion-style cloth pockets inside.
Both sides are decorated with intricately carved patterns, and the cartouche is engraved with a monogram that is believed to be the initials of the first owner.
The pockets can hold not only business cards but also credit cards and tri-fold bills.
