Introducing the British antique sterling silver Vesta case.
A Vesta case was a small match holder from the time, with a file on the bottom for matching matches.
This is a 1911 work by William Adams from Birmingham, England.
Delicate scroll decoration throughout.
The first owner's initials are engraved in the center of the obverse.
There is some deterioration due to rust on the sanded part at the bottom, but the lid opens and closes smoothly.
