This is an 1895 work by James Deakin & Sons of Sheffield, England.
It is decorated with embossed flowers, and the lid knob (finial) is also in the shape of a flower.
The barrel part rests on a plate with legs, and the legs have an antique-looking ``claw and bowl'' design with bird legs gripping the ball.
