Introducing British antique sterling silver bottle coasters.
These coasters are used when placing bottles of wine etc. on the dining table for entertaining guests.
It is quite old, dating from the British Georgian period in 1808, and is the work of JOHN ROBERTS & CO of Sheffield, England.
The inner bottom is made of wood and has a non-slip fabric attached to the bottom.
It is hard to believe that it was made 215 years ago, and not only the silver part but also the wood inside and the cloth have been kept in very good condition.
