1898 British antique Benson LUDGATE silver side key winding pocket watch works well
SKU: 171813530
Benson is a watch maker founded in England in 1840, and is known to have been a favorite of Jiro Shirasu and others, and is a very popular brand in Japan as well.
[Brand Introduction] JW Benson
This is an open face type with a sterling silver case, and the stamp on the case is made in 1887.
The movement is a British-made key-wound "LUDGATE", which was the highest grade at the time.
The cursive logo Benson is very popular, and it is a simple and profound watch that is very British.
The accuracy is pretty solid, but the power reserve is a little short at 22 hours.
We hope this lovely antique watch will add some color to your day!
The overhaul history is unknown, but the balance swing is good and it is ticking and moving well.

・Case engraving: There is a sterling silver hallmark of the British Fund Appraisal Institute on the inside of the back cover and the inner cover.
・Dial: There is a small hairline near 5 o'clock, but it is hardly noticeable.

・Power reserve: confirmed from full mainspring to 22 hours
*The daily difference will change depending on the posture difference and the winding condition of the mainspring, so please consider it as a reference.
