This is the work of Hilliard and Thomson in Birmingham, UK, 1858.
The handle is a silver plate and the blade is a combination of pure silver (sterling silver).
Engraved with detailed botanical vines throughout.
The handle is made of silver plate, but it is less worn and the detailed engraving remains clear.
It is in such beautiful condition that it is hard to believe that it was made over 160 years ago.
It is housed in a luxurious mahogany case.
