We would like to introduce you to an antique American sterling silver spoon.
It was called a bonbon spoon and was used to scoop up nuts and fruit.
It could be a sugar sifter for sprinkling powdered sugar on sweets or fruit.
This is a work by American COWELL & HUBBARD around 1899.
COWELL & HUBBARD is a Cleveland silversmith founded in the mid-19th century.
The bowl is beautifully pierced and the handle is intricately carved.
The bowl still has some gold plating.

- There is slight wear overall, but there are no noticeable scratches or dents and it is in beautiful condition.
The bowl is gold plated, but is a little thin.
-The back of the handle is engraved with "STERLING PAT91 COWELL & HUBBARD".
- "1899" is engraved on the back of the handle.
