The anointing spoon is one of the crown jewelry used at the British coronation ceremony.
At the coronation ceremony, this spoon is used to scoop up the oil and apply it to the new king (queen).
It is believed to have been made to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII.
It is a fairly large anointing spoon with a total length of over 25 cm.
A beautiful spoon with fine carvings on the bowl and handle of the spoon.
