This is a small silver case (pill box/trinket box) made in 1893 by S. Kirk & Son, America's oldest prestigious silversmith.

The lid features the company’s signature "repoussé" (hammered engraving) technique, depicting blooming flowers in intricate, three-dimensional detail. The fine stippling on the background creates shadows that beautifully accentuate the deep, unique luster of the silver. The bottom is hand-engraved with an elegant monogram and the year "1893."
