1954 Yard-O-Led Sterling Silver Propelling Pencil (UK)

We would like to introduce a pencil from "Yard-O-Led," a long-established British writing instrument manufacturer.

This is a sterling silver propelling pencil by Yard-O-Led, manufactured in England in 1954. The pencil's body is entirely adorned with a delicate guilloché engraving called "Barley," which achieves both the soft luster unique to sterling silver and a non-slip grip.

Yard-O-Led's signature mechanism, capable of storing a total of "1 yard (approximately 91cm)" of lead, still operates smoothly today. The barrel is beautifully engraved with complete hallmarks from 1954, including the Lion Passant (a mark of sterling silver) and date letters, attesting to its assured British quality.
