We would like to introduce a pocket watch from British watchmaker John Bennett.
This is a sterling silver open-face case key-wind pocket watch from around 1864.
John Bennett's name is engraved on the dial and movement.
John Bennett is a manufacturer that stopped manufacturing its own machines relatively early on and began importing Swiss machines , so watches using British-made machines are rare.
It is unknown if it has been overhauled, but the balance wheel is in good condition and ticks along smoothly.
We hope this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one for you!
