We are pleased to present an antique British sterling silver chatelaine case.
A chatelaine is a type of accessory worn by ladies and worn on the waist by inserting it into the belt.
Women's clothes at the time did not have pockets, so they carried pens, sewing tools, and other items in these pockets.
This work was created by Charles Lyster & Son in Birmingham, England in 1904.
The entire surface of the case is hand-carved with an extremely intricate leaf pattern that reflects light and sparkles, resembling silver embroidery.
Because it is so thin, it is difficult to use it as a case for modern glasses, but we highly recommend clipping it to the wall of your room and using it as a special display for dried flowers or pens.
We hope that this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one for you.
