Early 20th Century American Antique Sterling Silver Cigarette Case, 49g

This is an American-made cigarette case that is thought to date from around the early 20th century.
The edge of the case (bezel) is decorated with an elegant scroll pattern created using three-dimensional embossing (repousse).
The center part has a plain finish with no decoration, allowing you to enjoy the smooth luster of the silver itself.
It can hold cigarettes up to about 7.5cm long, and the holder (claw) inside is spring-loaded.

Opening and closing is smooth and there is no rattle in the hinges.
