We would like to introduce you to antique British lunch plates.
This is a pair of semi-porcelain lunch plates from around the early 20th century.
There is a stamp on the bottom that says "Wedgwood & Co. Ltd.", but it is not the work of Josiah Wedgwood, who is famous in Japan for his Jasperware, but rather a product of a different company run by his distant relative, Enoch Wedgwood.
The design features a "BURLINGTON" pattern with rose and plant motifs, written in deep indigo ink on white semi-porcelain.
The edges are decorated with gold.
We hope that this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one for you.
