Shipable areas: UK, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore
Introducing the British Minton Teacup Trio.
A set of teacups, saucers and cake plates believed to date from the 1920s.
The "Cockatrice" pattern, featuring exotic designs and a phoenix-like bird, is a representative design of the Chinoiserie style.
It appears to have been custom-made for the salon of Myer Emporium, a long-established department store in Melbourne, Australia.
The handle has a distinctive design, and the saucer is also deep.
This piece evokes the story of a traveling antique, born in England and likely to have captivated people in salons far away in the Southern Hemisphere.
We hope this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one for you!
