1899 British antique sterling silver card case 64g Robert Thornton
SKU: 202411234775
We would like to introduce you to an antique British sterling silver card case.
This is a card case that would have been custom-made for an upper-class person at the time.
The surface decoration is so beautiful that no two pieces are alike.
This work was created by Robert Thornton , Birmingham, England in 1899.
Both sides are decorated with asymmetrical plant leaf ornaments that have a Japonisme influence.
Many areas have a mirror finish, so the light reflects beautifully.
The cover has a monogram engraved on it, which is believed to be the initials of the first owner. It is large enough to fit about 15 business cards, even current business cards.
We hope that this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one!
